Black Gold: Hair Extensions Are Real?

WALT:  We are learning about events that happen around the world. 

This article was disturbing but at the same time I was really satisfied because this was wired because a lot of salons in New Zealand specialist in hair extensions and a lot of 2 dollar shop sell wigs so this means that China ships hair over to us. 

I think the author wanted to raise awareness for girls like Qingwen Liu's so they can keep their hair because if you were to lose hair for about ever 4 years then do you think that would be quite sad.Because in the article it stated that if China was not selling the hair their shops would be empty and they money would go down every year and because the hair is making so much money for them and maybe the families.I think it would change by no one going to the salon for hair extensions that often as they would if it was a demand.  Overall I think that this article was disturbing because I know that Chinese people take hair for dogs but from actual people that really disgusts me. I found it hard to believe that hair extension are actually real hair because some of my family members do wear hair extensions.

Kiwi Kids News:Fart during operation causes fire

A women in the 30's caused fire because of her passing wind, this was during an very important operation. Because of this fart she has burnt down a surgical room in the hospital of Tokyo, she has also severely burnt most of her upper body, waist and legs. It caught fire because the laser machine sparked and caught fire when the gas made contact. The accident took place on April the 15th and this is late but the hospital wanted to make sure that she was okay before she was on news websites. The hospital is now back to normal and the patient is now okay and healthy.

Inquiry: Guy Fawkes

Guy Fawkes is celebrated every 5th of November. It is commonly celebrated with fireworks and it is good because you can spend time with your family. Guy Fawkes , also known a Guido Fawkes was born on the 13 of April to the 31st of January. Guy Fawkes is one of the many people that tried to take the life of King James but he was caught before he could light the barrels on fire, he also was caught carrying the explosions and he was immediately arrested. We celebrate Guy Fawkes because it is the same day that they failed to kill king James. A fact is they cut his testicals off because he was caught they also cut him up into 4 quarters.

Another fact is the he was born in the stone age all the way up to when Queen Elizabeth was ruling England.

Speech Reflection:Friendship

My speech is about friendship, here is some of my speech:

Listening is also a good thing to remember, take Sifa for example if you know him you know that when you tell him something there is a 90% chance that he will respond with a three letter word Huh?. Also remember if your friend is going through a hard time, don’t hesitate to help them get back up.

Having friend is a big part of your life because if you're not that close to family at least you have a friend to stay by your side. But having friend can also have a downsides.

Kiwi Kids Reflection

What is your article about?
My article is about the Kiwis getting thumped by Australia. Kiwis lost to Australia 26-6 which if you think about it is actually a thumping.
Where did this take place?
The game took place in perth.
Who were the people/animals in the article?
The people in the article was the kiwis team and the Kangaroos team. Kiwis Scored 1 and the Kangaroos 5 tries.
Why do you think this article is in the news?
Because it is something that happen nationally and because rugby is one of the most important sport for both of these countries.

All Blacks Dominate South Africa

This is a reflection about how the All Blacks Dominated the Springboks on last week's game.

Dane Coles was the standout player for New Zealand, giving the final pass for tries to Israel Dagg, Julian Savea and Sam Whitelock. Ben Smith, Ardie Savea and TJ Perenara also scored some points for the team. Beauden Barrett also scored 4 conversion and 1 penalty for the team.However, the Springboks were up to the challenge, lifting their intensity and answered with a try to Brian Habana in the 19th minutes to take the lead.

Life Education T3W5

WALT: Learn things about our human body.

So today we have just com back from a session with Nicole the teacher for the Program.

Today we talked about stress and what is can do to your Whare Tapa Wha. She showed us a video of a girl called Chloe and she told us about the different ways that stress can come upon you and affect you and others around you. I have learned that when you take a number 2 it is brown because all of the dead blood cells, energy drinks contain caffeine so it bad for you and when you drink alcohol it can affect your brain by the way you think and act. 1 question I would like to have asked her is what happen when the brain get socked by alcohol?. I liked the clapping game and the nerv game. I didn't like looking at all the body part because they looked disgusting.

WALT: reflect on a moment of a session in the past

Good morning to all you people, I hope you having a good morning because I did.
So today we had a Kiwi Can session.
Our session was about problem solving, and we started to talk about the problems that go around in our neighbourhood. The problem that we talked about was

1. Domestic Violence

2. Gangs

3. Rumors and Fighting
For our energiser we did a game where Mr M put his hands up and we had to guess the number, A FEW MOMENTS LATER we played WHO am I.

After this game we had to make a skit about our subject of choice, so my group chose Domestic Violence. My group was Me, James, Kenneth, Sene, Nite and Sifa.

We just did kids drinking and the dad walking in on them and then start smacking them. After this the neighbour call the police and then the police arrested him and then there is a news reporter told the world about it. After this we we did GKQ in the groups that we did the plays in.

Paragraph One	What is the Benefits About Being Famous I am going to talk about the benefits of becoming famous. One of the benefits is earning a lot of money for what they do for example being a movie star, a musician and also an athlete. Having the opportunity to tour around the country is also a benefit. Meeting new people along the way is another strength of being famous. Of course there is a lot more but I think this is the benefits that stand out most.
Paragraph Two	The Downside of being Famous With being famous there are also downsides like getting a lot of hate from a lot of people who are mean or jealous. Another one is Paperazzi, having photos taken of your everywhere you go is kind of annoying. Just imagine everywhere you go there is flashes in you eyes and people saying “PRESS CAN I TAKE A PHOTO PLEASE”. One thing that I can't stand is the lies about you that goes around about you. This is a reason why social media is bad because the lies that go around can really have a negative effect on people.
Paragraph Three	What Does is Mean to Be Famous To be famous you obviously have had to do something to earn the privilege to become famous so this is what it means to be famous. To be famous means that you are known by an abundance of people around the world or country. How ever people can be famous for the wrong reason and maybe that may be the difference between being famous and being a hero . We should all aim to be famous for being our best and never giving up.
