Rugby Training Reflection

Image result for nehe milner skudderTraining today was a good push to get me ready for the week. to warm ourselves up before training started I played touch with my good friends Sifa, Kiko, Siale, Tevita and Toni. Training started off with a run and then we got into drills like stair case and passing drills, after that we played a game and that when I started to get really tired. The game we played was just like a rugby game but in teams of four, the coach would kick the ball and team one had to chase the ball and the team two had to try there best to prevent team one from scoring a try.

It was a good game because I could see the improvement in my team and I was really happy to see how they have grown over time especially this one boy called Chris. Flag of EgyptAs we all know Egypt is a very cool place because of the beliefs and the culture. While I was watching the movie 300 it reminded me about Egypt so I decided to research and here are the things that I found out. If you are like me I would love to go to Egypt because I love to get new experiences and traveling the world is one of my lifetime goals and Egypt is one of the country I would love to go to. The first fact I found was that the most popular sport in Egypt is soccer of football. the other facts were

  • The worlds largest river runs through the boiling country Egypt
  • Egypt is the home to the very famous Great Pyramid of Giza, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world
The most interesting of all is, Mount Catherine is the highest mountain in Egypt, standing 2,629m high (8625 ft) and if you imagine a tall basketball player times 9000. If you are also curious in this country leave a comment if you do and i'll make sure to inform you with some more interesting facts about other cool countries. Much love to you all.

5 Interesting facts about Japan

While looking through the endless depths of the internet I came across this webpage and it had some interesting facts about Japan and I would love to have the opportunity to go to Japan because the culture is so interesting and the people there are as kind as a butterfly. The first fact out of the five is Japan is actually made out of 6,852 island, after reading this I immediately shared it with my family and their minds were blown. The others were

  • The Japanese name for Japan is “Nihon” or “Nippon” which means “sun origin”
  • The highest point in Japan in Mount Fuji, which stands at 3,776m (12,388ft)
  • The ancient warriors of Japan were samurai and they were armed with a sharp, curved sword and heavy Armour to protect themselves
The last most interesting fact about japan to me is that Japan is home to many different forms of martial arts. Karate, Judo, Sumo, Ninjutsu, Kendo, Jujitsu and many more. If you agree with me please leave a comment and  hope you all have learnt something new as I have. Much love to you all

John Key Awarded Australia's top Honor

WALT: Read about something and expand on that subject by sharing how we think and feel about it.

Ex prime minister John Key has received Australia’s top honor. Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turn bull said Sir John had been a great friend to Australia. John Key was knighted in New Zealand in June however he is not the first kiwi to get the award, as three others have been given the honor Sir Geoffrey Palmer, Dame Kiri Te Kanawa and Sir Brian Talboys, being the others.

John Key where I live was always hated by some people and I was quite confused why and I was told that he tried to ban the website bebo when it was popular. I think that he was a better Prime Minister then Bill English because Bill English is trying to use Point England Reserve as land to build houses and a lot of people are against him just like me. Overall I think that John Key has really earned this award because of the things he has done for his and our great country.

Leave a comment if you agree with me and have a great evening. Much love to you all.

😭 Last Day Of the Holidays 😭

Today is the last day of our school break and I am very sad because I haven't made the most of it, I have just been saying inside and watching movies all day. The two weeks to me flew by my face and ended but I do have to say that I can't wait to go to school because not do I have something to do I get to talk to my friends and play around with them. In the first week I just played around with my family but in the weekend we went and watched Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, I don't want to say too much about the movie because I might get a copyright strike but it was a funny movie.

Massive volcano erupts in Mexico

WALT
The Popocatepetl volcano in Mexico has erupted, throwing ash, water vapor and gas into the air and the eruption was so great that the ash cloud went up into the sky reaching up to 2,000 meters above the volcano crater

People living near the volcano were told to protect themselves and to not breathe in the fumes from the volcano at all costs because it may be poisonous. There are more than 3,000 volcanoes in mexico and only 14 are considered to be active.

This is shocking news because the people that lives by the volcano should evacuate the area but instead they were told to stay inside and protect themselves and their loved ones. If you love this awesome coutry like me leave a comment, thank you for reading this blog post from your truely. Toki Sio

Whare Tapa Wha: Taha Hinengaro

WALT: keep our Whare Tapa Wha up by keeping the walls steady and strong
In this DLO we talked about Taha Hinengaro which is the Mental part of your Whare Tapa Wha, in this house there are four main walls. The four walls are Taha Hinengaro (Mental), Taha Tinana (Physical), Taha Whanau (Family Health) and lastly Taha Wairua which is Spiritual health.  This is for our school event on Wednesday evening were we have to present to the parent what we have learnt about this term and my group chose to do Whare Tapa Wha . I am very happy with the results that my group has come up with in the short period of time we were given and special thanks to Frances for the leadership she showed to all of us, that is why I think my group succeeded.

The most challenging thing I found in this session would have to be painting because we had to paint something white and it would just not stay white so that was pretty annoying. We had some confusion with Aja because someone had told her she was not in our group so Frances came and told her how she could help. Meditation would have to be my favourite activity in my group because it was calming listening to the music they put on and the script was perfect. Please leave a comment about what you think Taha Tinana is and much love to you all out their. Toki Sio.
