Use doubling and halving to find timestables

Use this working out to show the answers for the other beads:

1.
                                                               There are two rows.
There are 5 beads in each row.
                                                                5+5= 10
                                                               5x2= 10

2.                                                                          There are two rows.
                                                                               There are 7 beads in each row.
                                                                                7+7= 14
                                                                                7x2= 14

Example: 5 + 5 is the same as 2 x 5= 10
  1. 6 + 6 is the same as 2 x 6= 12
  2. 7 + 7 is the same as 2 x 7= 14
  3. 7 + 7 is the same as 2 x 7= 14
  4. 8 + 8  is the same as 2 x 8= 16
  5. 9 + 9 is the same as 2 x 9= 18
  6. 10 + 10 is the same as 2 x 10= 20

Example: If 2 x 3= 6 then 4 x 3= 12
  1. If 2 x 4= 8 then 4 x 4= 16
  2. If 25 x 2= 50 then 25 x 4= 100
  3. If 2 x 40= 80  then 4 x 40= 160
If 2 x 7= 17  then 20 x 7= 140

Great use of doubling Metui. I can see you're ready to learn a new strategy next week! Fantastic! :)
